I’ve been taking classes at Techshop this past week. Here are a couple of photos of the CNC Plasma cutter class, and the sign I made with it.
I also took two laser cutting/etching classes, TIG welding, and CNC Milling. Basically all heavy duty cutting and pasting operations.
I would highly recommend taking some classes there. The instructors are nice, and the environment is really conducive to exchanging ideas and helping each other learn. I’ll be starting up my month long membership next week! I’m very excited to get in there and get some stuff done!
I’m working on a painting again, finally. Sometimes I feel like working on something fast, sometimes I feel like working on an epic. The epics are more satisfying for me. I know the fast pieces are still my voice, but I also like the pieces that I hammer on for days and days and days.
I’ve been painting on black gessoed canvasses and boards recently. I like it. I like it a lot. I’ve only been doing plein aire and landscapes over the last couple of months, so doing an abstract on the black gesso is new for me.
I like bluehost! I transferred over 4 of my domains, and I couldn’t be happier with the service so far. All of the systems are easy to setup and the transfer speeds are awesome. If you’re in the market for a fine art website (or any other kind of website!), I’d definitely recommend using bluehost for hosting. I get a nice thank you gift from them if you click on the banner above and sign up for an account.
Legal defense donations for Star Simpson can be sent via paypal to stares [at] gmail . com. I’m asking you to please go give $20 or whatever you can. I just did. Fight the ignorance, a breadboard is not a bomb! LEDs are not explosives! Star Simpson should never have been arrested!
