Fine art degree?

That would be someone else’s idea of what an educated person is. When it comes to fine art, nothing could be more noble than the pursuit of your own style. Even if it takes a whole lifetime. No, I don’t have a degree, but I feel like my standards for my work are high nonetheless. I’ll never “graduate” from my own curriculum, because my own curriculum will never end. I’m producing new works. That’s what you’re supposed to do whether you have a degree or not: produce works for the.. rest.. of.. your life. Opposing ideas? Agreeing ideas? Leave a comment.

I can understand your post. I’m in art school… and I wonder what the hell I’m doing there. I like the way you put it, “I’ll never graduate from my own curriculum.” Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to defend the good folks at Burning Man from the criticisms of academics.
